They are usually armed with bolt action rifles, though frontline checkpoint units are armed with assault rifles. They generally do not have any real influence on a military conflict, resorting to being internal and rear-guard forces in active conflicts. They can supplement the civilian police services when necessary. They have nondescript military vehicles, and rely on the air force for aerial surveillance and the Coast Guard for law enforcement and searches on the high seas. The service has an authorized strength of sixty five thousand armed personnel, with most of the deployments along the border with Kolonia. The Demitorian Civil Security Agency is the uniformed civilian police force, responsible for day to day law enforcement not covered by specialized services. They are the main law enforcement patrol and investigative service, with intelligence handled by the military intelligence apparatus. The Agency is also tasked with civil defense, including evacuations, radiation monitoring of civilian areas and counter-terrorism surveillance. Three special forces units are under the [[Directorate for Special Services of the Demitorian Civil Security Agency]] handling special missions tasked to it by the [[Demitorian Civil Security Board]] or, in special circumstances, the [[State Affairs Commission of Demitor]].
