The Demitorian Defense Forces are the military arm of the Government of [[Demitor]].

The Demitorian Defense Forces are the military arm of the Government of [[Demitor]]. It consists of five major services: The [[Air Force of Demitor|Air Force]], [[Army of Demitor|Army]], [[Navy of Demitor|Navy]], [[Border Troops of Demitor|Border Troops]], and the [[Air Defense Service of Demitor|Air Defense Service]]. Several smaller components form the [[National Reserve Forces of Demitor|National Reserve Forces]].

The Army is made up of commands divided up by military districts outlined in the [[Constitution of Demitor]]. There are two corps, East and West, that coordinate between the two sections of the country's army formations. Demitorian formations are built on a combined-arms philosophic mindset with defense first, with the realization that a war of attrition would be the best way a war could be won. All units of the Demitorian army are smaller than their counterparts internationally, with a division in Demitor only containing six thousand soldiers.

The national peacekeeping contingent is the force designated for use as peacekeepers should any needs arise for such a force. The plans for this program were drawn up during the height of the Svernan Cold War, whereas potential conflict could see destabilization, and this force was intended to prevent a flood of refugees into Demitor and stabilize the regions on the border. Generally made up of deactivated units, their manpower and equipment is drawn from the Army Reserve, but when activated they fall under the control of the main army command system.

It is the main body for everything concerning emergency response, with only the Civil Security Agency Police being there for civil policing duties as well. The National Guard is technically under the Ministry of the Interior, but functionally operates with input from the Ministry of Defense and National Preservation. The two Ministries formed the [[Joint Public Safety Board of Demitor|Joint Public Safety Board]] to handle civil administration of public safety functions of the National Guard agencies.

The main aim of this program is to ensure that no drugs, illegal immigrants, or other illegal or immoral cargo makes it to Demitorian shores. Commonly put with this force are units of the Naval Reserves, which operate a series of radar picket and interdiction picket boats all along the boundaries of Demitorian territorial waters in the bay.
