The Dolfik Kingsrike, is a sovereign state in northern Andolia. Occupying a large portion of the northern area of the Andolian continent, It shares land borders with Traestan and Traesmark to the east, Anderia and North Lorbs to the south, and a maritime border to the north with Suroig. Apart from this, it is surrounded by oceans, with the Dolfik Sea and Nuntic Ocean on the north, Andolian Sea on the south, and the Etanamic Ocean on the west. Dolfikland covers 2,615,591 square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 260 million people.
Dolfikland is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy, the Monarch is High King William VI, who has reigned since 7th August 1972, the capital and largest city is Athelborough, a global city with a population of 16 million. Other major urban areas are those centered on Duneidyn, Baysmouth, Bressier, and Dollorbs.
The Dolfik Kingsrike consists of 5 countries; Greater Dolfikland, Albuland, Muskovo, Polzen, and Ostterra, additionally under Dolfik authority is the autonomous province of Traesmark and the Dolfik Overseas Territories (DOTs). The Kingsrike, Traesmark, DOTs, and the Commonwealth Realms, former colonies which have retained the Dolfik monarch as their head of state and continue to share ties with the Kingsrike, all form the Dolfik Commonwealth, a supranational organization headed by the monarch which oversees and promotes relations between the Kingsrike, it's territories and constituent countries, and the Commonwealth realms.
Various tribes have inhabited Dolfikland since antiquity, with various ancient peoples such as the Lorbics, Proto-Andolians, and early Dolfik tribes inhabiting it. Dolfikland is a developed nation with a strong economy and high GDP per capita. It was one of the first industrialized nations and one of the world's leading powers during the 19th and early 20th centuries, it remains a major global power and has a well equipped and trained military, and is a recognized nuclear weapons state. It also possesses considerable economic, cultural, military, scientific and political influence internationally. With the 2nd highest Kerbal development index globally, the country ranks very highly in quality of life, health, education, civil liberties and political rights.

Government
The Dolfik Kingsrike is a constitutional monarchy governed as a federation of it's constituent countries, with William VI being the current monarch and head of state of the Kingsrike since 7th August 1972, along with the dominions of Verkimlund and Icaria, which are former colonies that have retained links to the Kingsrike, being fellow members of the Dolfik Meanwealth. The Deeds of Shared Lordship of the Rikes, i.e. the Dolfik Acts of Union, are effectively the nation's constitutional documents, as they are the articles that bind the Kingsrike's constituent nations together under the monarchy and delegate powers to the national government.
Dolfikland has a parliamentary government within the context of it's status as a constitutional monarchy, the monarch being head of state and holding ultimate executive power over the nation. In modern times, the monarchy is seen as being symbolic of the nation's sovereignty, the source of executive power for it's democratic process, and a neutral check against any illegal actions by the Rikesmoot. By constitutional statute, the monarch delegates their executive powers to the Rikesmoot, and, outside of extreme circumstances, only exercises their power on the First Speaker's advice. Nonetheless, all acts of Parliament require Kingly Assent before being passed, although this is typically only denied in extreme circumstances, such as when the act has been previously deemed unconstitutional or otherwise illegal.
The Rikesmoot acts as the nation's legislative branch, acting using the powers delegated to the national executive by the Acts of Union which in turn are delegated to it from the monarchy. It is a bicameral body divided into two houses; the House of Lords are the upper house which can delay acts of the Rikesmoot to scrutinize and suggests amendments before they are passed into law, thus acting as a check on the legislative process. Members of it are appointed by the monarchy from the peerage of the Kingsrike's member states upon the suggestion of the First Speaker. The House of Shirefolk meanwhile acts as the primary chamber responsible for passing all legislature and forwarding it to the monarch to be given Kingly Assent and ultimately be passed into law. It's members are directly appointed by election in the individual shires within each member state, each appointing two MPs to the approximately 538 seats within the house.
The position of First Speaker, the leader of the Rikesmoot and Head of Government, is appointed by the monarch and belongs to the person most likely to command the confidence of the House of Shirefolk; this individual is typically the leader of the political party or coalition of parties that holds the largest number of seats in that chamber following an election. The first speaker chooses members of the Rikesmoot to serve as members of their cabinet, and its members are formally appointed, along with the first speaker, by the monarch to be sworn into the Witanmoot, i.e. the Privy Council which formally advises the monarch. Executive power is exercised by the prime minister and the Witanmoot, and by convention, the monarch respects the first speaker's decisions of government.
The nation's politics have generally been dominated in modern times by three major parties; The Dolfik Folk's Fellowship, Dolfik Worker's Fore, and Pàrtaidh Saorsa, in order of size in the Rikesmoot. Notable minor parties include the Fellowship of the Ring and The Popular Association for Speaking Like Normal Human Beings Instead Of This National Medieval LARP Session (PASNHB).
Foreign Relations
Dolfikland maintains relations with more than 50 countries, and is a permanent member of the Kerbin Assembly Security Council, and a member of the Meanwealth, CODET, C8, and SECT. Dolfikland is recognized as a great power for its international influence and role in world affairs, with a foreign policy revolving around promoting the interests of itself and the Commonwealth, carrying out international peacekeeping, and attempting to curb the spread of international communism, which is seen as a threat to Dolfik sovereignty. It maintains especially close relations with Verkimlund, which was a former Dolfik colony that still shares the monarch as head of state, and Serria, with whom it has developed a close economic relationship over the last century despite a historical rivalry.
Dolfikland is one of the major contributors of developmental aid in the world, pursuing it as an independent area of foreign policy. It primarily finances aid and development programs in Cancodia, where it aims to develop infrastructure and support the implementation of healthcare and educational systems.
Military
His Highness's Rikeswear (Realm Defense) consist of 5 service branches; the Here (Army), Kingly Liftfleet (Royal Air Force), Kingly Fleet (Royal Navy), Kingly Seaheer (Royal Marines), and the Kingly Starfleet (Royal Space Force), with the civilian department responsible for managing these being the Overseership for the Rikeswear. The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to whom service members swear an oath of allegiance is the Dolfik Monarch, although by long-standing convention the monarch seeks parliamentary consent before undertaking military action upon the advice of the First Speaker of the Rikesmoot.
Most Dolfiks of both genders are required to complete 1 year of compulsory military enlistment upon turning 18 or graduating from secondary school, whichever comes later. Dolfiks may be exempted from mandatory service if they voluntarily join any of the armed services, or if they opt to complete a year of non-military national service, during which they support social welfare programs, perform community service, assist in schools and hospitals, and other similar activities. Those performing compulsory service are considered part of the reserves of their respective branch, separate from the all-volunteer professional active forces, As such, the reserves form the largest component of the Armed Forces, containing over 1 million personnel at any given time.
The Dolfik military played a key role in establishing the Dolfik Empire as one of the dominant world powers in the 18th and 19th centuries, with the Kingsrike often having a major impact on the course of world affairs by way of military action, with the Kingsrike still exerting influence today as a major military power. In modern times the Dolfik military is considered responsible for defending the Dolfik Kingsrike and it's various overseas and associated territories, promoting the Kingsrike's global security interests, defending allied nations, and supporting international peacekeeping efforts. The nation is a recognized nuclear weapons state, possessing the 3rd largest nuclear weapons stockpile in the world. Its nuclear deterrent primarily relies on the Royal Navy, which maintains a fleet of 6 Thunder Class nuclear ballistic missile submarines. Spending for the Dolfik military amounts to the 4th highest military expenditure in the world, with 216 billion spent annually on defense, amounting to 2.2% of national GDP.
