The Iconian Empire's parliament has two houses, an elected ''Chamber of Deputies'' and a partly elected ''Imperial Senate''. All enacted laws are given Imperial and Consular Assent before becoming law. The position of Consul as the Head of Government belongs to the person who is appointed by the party or coalition with the highest number of seats in the Imperial Senate. The Consul chooses his cabinet Ministers and appoints Judges of the ''Imperial Supreme Court'' and Praetors of Courts of Appeal. The Consul and his Ministers from the Imperial Government are exercising the executive power of the Iconian Empire.
