The Archdiocese of Paros, more commonly known as either the Paros Archipelago or just Paros, is a Serrian overseas Archdiocese located in the Mauralin Gulf near Klathu and Chikara. The Paros Archipelago is made up of three islands and has two cities, its namesake, Paros is located on both the middle and southern islands while the northern island of Aigaleo houses the city of Aigaleo. Similar to Agios and unlike Metropolitan Serria, the older sections of the cities in the Paros Archipelago are built in the Ithakan style and there are many ancient Ithakan temples that were repurposed as Catholic churches after Paros and Agios were colonised. The Paros Archipelago jointly funds the Agios Militia along with Agios and the Order Territory in Icaria, and is also working with Agios, The Order, Klathu and the Icarian nations on the Mauralin Renewable Energy and Powerlink Project.
Paros City
Paros is famous for being the least dense Serrian city in the Mauralin Gulf region thanks to its large parks and open spaces, and along with its rich history as a trade city dating back to the First Icarian Empire when it was first colonised by the Ithakans. Paros would see many empires rise and fall throughout its history, Which has given it a diverse culture and several architectural styles are prominent in the historical regions of the city, from Ithakan temples to Karan fortresses, which has lead to it becoming a popular tourist destination. Paros would quickly become a centre of trade in the Mauralin region, a status which it still enjoys today in the modern era, although it would face competition from the nearby Serrian city of Agios.
